Healio (4/15, Gramigna) reports, “Frailty may help identify older individuals with late-life depression who are at increased risk for adverse negative health outcomes,” researchers concluded after using “Cox proportional hazard regression analyses adjusted for confounders to assess whether frailty predicted time-to-death during a six-year follow-up of 378 patients aged 60 years or older with a depressive disorder according to DSM-IV criteria.” The findings of the “prospective clinical cohort study” were published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry.
