HCPlive (3/30, Kunzmann) reports, “People with mental disorders and comorbid medical conditions have an 11-year reduction in life expectancy compared to the general population,” investigators concluded in a cohort analysis that “included 5.95 million individuals born in Denmark from 1900-2015 who resided in the country at least at the start of follow-up, identified as either January 1, 2000 or their date of birth, whichever occurred later.” The findings were published online March 30 in JAMA .
