Stigma Not The Biggest Barrier To Mental Healthcare Access, Report Finds According to PatientEngagementHIT (5/26, Heath), a report (PDF) from Sapien Labs suggests that “stigma is not the biggest patient care access barrier” to mental healthcare, Rather, “patient navigation issues, like knowing where to access care, and confidence in treatment efficacy stand in the way.” The report surveyed 45,000 “patients from English-speaking countries” who “either had or were at risk for a DSM-5 mental health diagnosis.”
