Medscape (8/9, Brooks, Subscription Publication) reports, “A screening tool” called eRADAR “embedded in the electronic health record [EHR] can help detect older primary care patients at risk of having undiagnosed dementia,” investigators concluded in a “real-world validation study conducted in two large US health systems.” Included in the study were “129,315 members of Kaiser Permanente Washington…and 13,444 primary care patients at University of California San Francisco Health.” The findings were presented at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference and also published online in the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
