Healio (9/23, Marabito) reports, “Primary care physicians often face challenges discussing alcohol use with older patients,” investigators concluded in a “qualitative study” in which they “interviewed 35 practitioners of different medical professions about their experiences addressing alcohol use and their views about alcohol habits among patients aged 50 years or older.” The findings were published online Aug. 23 in the British Journal of General Practice.
