Newsweek (9/3, Gander) reports investigators have calculated “the risk of older people developing dementia in a 10-year window.” Included in the study were data from “two studies carried out” in Copenhagen, Denmark. The study revealed that a “combination of a person’s age, sex and whether or not they had a common form of the APOE gene could paint a picture of whether they might develop dementia.” The findings were published online Sept. 4 in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.
