Healio (2/19, Michael) reported, “Sleeping fewer than five hours per night was associated with increased risks for incident dementia and death among older adults in the” US, investigators concluded after collecting and then examining data on 2,812 older adults taken “from the National Health and Aging Trends Study, a nationally representative survey of Medicare beneficiaries aged 65 years and older.” The findings were published online ahead of print in the journal Aging.
