Cristina Pritchett, M.D.

Assistant Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences

Dr. Pritchett is a board-certified geriatric psychiatrist. She is originally from Cuenca, Ecuador. After graduating from medical school at the University of Azuay, she moved to the US to continue her medical journey. She completed her psychiatric residency at a New York state-operated facility where she trained in multiple hospitals throughout New York City, including Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, Columbia University Medical Center, and Zucker Hillside Hospital. After completing a Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship at Emory University, she joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the geriatric psychiatry department.

Dr. Pritchett’s primary interest is to improve the quality of care for patients with mental illness while supporting their loved ones, in particular, her interest is in the underserved populations that have difficulty procuring treatment. She also has a burgeoning interest in neuropsychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and neurostimulation and enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and other learners.
